TAKE AWAY MENU

🚨 IMPORTANT:   July / August is a very popular time to visit. Do not wait until the week before you arrive to make a Take-Away order. Kosher food is flown in from abroad and supplies are limited.

GAM GAM offers Shabbat take-away on Friday, until three hours before Shabbat, conveniently packed to take to your hotel. Wine and challah are also available.

GAM GAM also delivers Shabbat meals on Friday to hotels. Orders must be placed and prepaid by Thursday.

Regular local supermarkets (Conad, Despar, Coop) carry very few kosher items (e.g., certain canned vegetables, nuts, rice cakes, and select Kellogg’s cereals).

📍 The Venice Eruv

The Eruv covers most of the city.
Stay between the Train Station & Rialto Bridge,
and on the same side of the Grand Canal as the Jewish Ghetto.
You can easily see the Grand Canal on Google Maps to verify your accommodations.

Shabbat candles will be ready for you to light at the entrance of the women’s side of the Chabad synagogue.

(If you reserved at GAM GAM, you can light Shabbat candles there).

• We do not have appliances available for rent.

Friday Night (Erev Shabbat)

• Candle Lighting: Available at your reserved meal location (GAM GAM or the Chabad Shul).
• Mincha (Afternoon Prayer):
  Begins immediately after candle lighting. (15 minutes) 
• Torah Insights & Niggunim:
  Short, meaningful insights and soulful songs. (30 minutes)
• Kabbalat Shabbat: Evening prayers. (20 minutes)
• Shabbat Dinner: Served immediately following prayers
  (Dinner is served approx 70 minutes after candle lighting) Reservations required.

Shabbat Day

• 10:00 AM – Shacharit (Morning Prayers)
• 12:15 PM – Shabbat Day Kiddush & Lunch: Follows morning prayers. Reservations required.
• Late Afternoon – Mincha & Seuda Shlishit (Third Meal):
  Meal follows mincha afternoon prayers. Reservations required.
